Pricing

We typically adopt a fixed-fee pricing structure for most projects and quotations are based on the time expected to complete the work agreed.

Having said that, there are typically 4 costs associated with your website:

  1. Domain Name Registration/Renewal: $15/year
  2. Website Hosting: Standard Hosting $120/year or Managed Hosting $180/year
  3. Website Design: Block of Hours (explained below)
  4. Website Maintenance: (optional – users may do it themselves or purchase blocks of hours or a combination)

Here at FRIENDLY Web Design, we sell blocks of hours. The larger the block, the lower the hourly rate. Our blocks of time can be used towards website design, graphic design, maintenance, training, updates/upgrades, even hosting.

For new designs, a typical marketing website generally takes between 15 and 25 hours to complete… start to finish.

Additionally, if a client needs a few small tasks completed after a website design has been completed (e.g. updates, upgrades, a plugin installed, additional training, etc.); purchasing larger blocks of time upfront allows us to continue to deduct time from the original block (at a reduced price) instead of paying full price for an hour here or an hour there.

NOTE: We often run specials that allow us to get you up and running with your own website on a shoe string budget in as little as a few days. Or, if you can’t wait and want to get started now, you can always purchase a small block of time (e.g. 5 hours), have us build the bones of the website in just 3 hours, and then we’ll spend the remaining 2 hours training you on how to build out the rest of your website! We also provide tutorial videos you can use to build your website out using the built-in dashboard.

Standard Block Rates:

1 hour block = $80 ($80/hour)
5 hour block = $375 ($75/hour)
10 hour block = $700 ($70/hour)
15 hour block = $975 ($65/hour)
25 hour block = $1500 ($60/hour)
35 hour block = $1925 ($55/hour)
50 hour block = $2500 ($50/hour)
65 hour block = $2925 ($45/hour)
80 hour block = $3200 ($40/hour)
100 hour block = $3500 ($35/hour)

Non-profit Block Rates:

1 hour block = $80 ($80/hour) x 50% = $40.00
5 hour block = $375 ($75/hour) x 50% = $187.50
10 hour block = $700 ($70/hour) x 50% = $350.00
15 hour block = $975 ($65/hour) x 50% = $487.50
25 hour block = $1500 ($60/hour) x 50% = $750.00
35 hour block = $1925 ($55/hour) x 50% = $962.50
50 hour block = $2500 ($50/hour) x 50% = $1250.00
65 hour block = $2925 ($45/hour) x 50% = $1462.50
80 hour block = $3200 ($40/hour) x 50% = $1600.00
100 hour block = $3500 ($35/hour) x 50% = $1750.00
